Bound to Ride Truck Leashes

Bring your best friends along in comfort and safety with our "Bound to Ride" truck leashes for dogs. Let the wind blow through their hair while they travel safely, secured with these easily adjusted straps made of heavy nylon webbing. This restraint system will fit small to full size pickups.

The truck leash has one adjustable strap that has a swivel snap hook on each end that attaches to each side of the truck. Once these straps are in place, you hook your dog's leash to the center ring, giving your dog a safe, secure system to confine him to the bed of the truck. The swivel snap hooks, center ring, and buckles are made of steel. The straps are heavy 1" nylon webbing. When your ride is done, simply attach the handle to the leash strap and continue on your way.

Note: If your pickup truck doesn't have welded tie down loops, there are adapters with loops that can be reasonably purchased at any auto supply store. This truck leash will also work in SUVs that have metal hooks in the cargo area, so that your friends won't jump out when the back is opened.

(1) Hook and adjust straps to go across pickup truck bed so that the metal ring is centered.
(2) Hook dog leash to center ring then to dog.
(3) Adjust leash length so that your dog's nose reaches the side of the truck bed, so he can sniff the wind but will not be in danger of falling out. He can sit, stand, or lay down in comfort.

This is Snugs and her son Gandhi, our two wonderful companions who inspired me to create this product. They loved going for rides & camping with us. Just like our kids, their safety while traveling was a priority.

If your SUV has welded loops in the back like our Toyota 4 runner, this restraint system works great for riding inside also. When traveling with your buddy, the back of the vehicle can be opened when you park without the chance of your dog jumping out until you want them to. Also while parked the back can stay open, so they can benefit from more air circulation.

When you finish your journey with your favorite critter, unhook the snap hook from the center ring and snap on to the metal ring at the end of the handle. This pivoting handle prevents tangling when you are walking more than one animal.

Now you can enjoy walking them (or they can walk you) while leaving one hand free to carry your coffee, umbrella, cell phone, pooper-scooper, or morning paper.

* Even though the dogs on the site are shown riding with a collar, studies have shown that your dog will ride safer with less injury in case of accident if they wear a harness.
